#1 Right Care Home Care Services Inc. ("#1 Right Care", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Information you give us through forms. When you request a callback we collect your name, phone number, who the care is for, and (optionally) your city. When you request our funding worksheet we collect your name and email, with your consent to receive occasional helpful emails. When you apply for a job through our careers links, we collect the information you provide in the application.
- Usage information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, and how you found us. This relies on cookies and similar technologies and is collected in aggregate; we don't use it to identify you personally.
- Advertising measurement. If you arrive from one of our ads, we (and the ad platform, such as Google or Meta) may record that your visit led to an enquiry, so we can measure whether our advertising is useful. This also relies on cookies/pixels.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange care — that's the main one.
- To send you the worksheet you asked for and, if you consented, occasional practical emails about navigating home care (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To understand and improve how the website works, and to measure advertising.
We do not sell your personal information. We never use details about your family's care needs for advertising.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored securely in Google Firebase (Google Cloud), which may store data on servers in Canada or the United States. Access is limited to our care coordination team. Health-related details you share when arranging care are handled under our client confidentiality practices and are separate from this website's marketing data.
Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works fine without them.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Phone and email remain available if you'd rather not use any web form at all.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to legal retention requirements). You may withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Questions or requests: email info@1rightcare.ca or call 587.443.1888 and ask for the privacy officer. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage.
